One of the new and exciting areas of cancer treatment is called “regional therapy” or “loco-regional therapy”.  These therapies are minimally invasive techniques that use medical images for guidance of treatments for tumors in a specific area for palliation, tumor reduction to facilitate surgical removal or, in rare cases, cure.
